3 out of every 8 children in Mrs. Michael’s first grade class are boys. If there are forty children in her class how many more girls than boys are there?

    3 (5) = 15 ... 40-15 =25 .. 25-15= 10

    8 (5) = 40

    there are 10 more girls than boys in Mrs.Michael's class.
